I have just passed my SCJP exam and I am about to start studying for the develper exam. Can anyone suggest a good strategies and a few good books to start with?
Also, I have noticed that SCJP forum has 49,000 posts while developer forum has only 4000 posts. I am really curious about the difference. Is it worth to take the exam or it's just too difficult to pass?

No, its not too hard to pass. It just takes some time and work.

I would recommend downloading the project right away. The project does not have a time limit, so you can work on it for as long as you like.
Once you have the code, look over the specs and figure out what areas you will need to study/research.
This forum is the best source of information that I have found.
