how can i keep a track of no. of all the objects in my java application at runtime? and accordingly how proper memory
management measures c'd b taken?

There is no good way (you can get some output using debugging flags, but there's no Java API for this). But, if you're asking this question in the context of the assignment then you are really thinking way outside its scope.
