Hi,
at first you have to go to a Prometric Training Center
to order the test for the cert.
This test is divided into 2 parts.
First, you have to implement a project. You should be able
to construct GUI using Swing. You should also be able to
create a network communication resp. RMI.
It will help if you know some design patterns of the GoF.
After completing the project ( no time limit), you have to
go to the Prometric Test Center in order to write an essay.
This essay is used to explain your design choices concerning
your solution of the project.
If you pass both parts, you get yourself the Developer cert.
Best luck!
