I cleared the SCJP2 about 5 months ago, and am now interested in taking up the Developer Certification.
I am also returning to javaranch after a considerably long time.
Can anyone direct me in finding resources?
Thanks
Rahul

Hi,
my advice is to just download the project and start working on it. the hardest part about learning technology is finding a project that illustrates many of the skills useable in the outside world. The developer project is pretty good in illustrating this. I say get the project, and start thinking about it.
Good Luck

Hi,
my experience for SCJD is to find a right tutorial.
I found one in aol community, I don't know if you can reach it or not. check it at
http://hometown.aol.com/javalearners/promotion/index.html
There are some paid study groups there. I didn't participate. I get the study note and Q&A service. Your question about assignment will be answered within 24 hours by real SCJDs. I'v got more confidence in doing my assignment.

Without a doubt a very valid service. I know this other place where questions are generally answered well within 24 hours; all of them either directly by SCJDs or monitored by real SCJDs. The best thing is, it's free It's really cool, they have lots of book authors as well; you can find it here.
