searching in saloon.javaranch.com for the last 3 months

by my name Vanin gives all the posts from 2001, except last ones.
Any hints how may I search my last posts? Is it reproducable?

I didn't know there was a UBB search -- how do I find it?

It's under the "Post New Topic" and "Post Reply" buttons at the top of each forum's page. There is a line of links there:

my profile | register | search | faq | forum home

"my profile" is used to change your displayed name.

"faq" explains more about UBB/smilies/tags (like "code" tags)

If you use the UBB search (the link under the words "JavaRanch Big Moose Saloon" above) and enter your member # you should get 200 of your posts.
Of course you have to search per forum.

If you are using Google, there are a couple of different ways. One way is to search for

Vanin 2002

That would be the easiest way.

A second way is to click on the Google icon to use Google's advanced search. If you use this way, you need to type "saloon.javaranch.com" into the "Domain (only) return results from the site or domain ____________" box and limit the date on the "Date Return web pages updated in the last 3 months" line.

If you use the UBB search, I recommend using your member number rather than your name. You have to search in each individual forum, but the date limiting search is more sensitive with UBB than with Google.

So, has the google search been "fixed" to actually reliably index newer pages now?

I do not know whether you sleep or work sometimes, and how do you manage to find all that time answering all the doubts.
It was not the question in the sake of question, I really was loosing time on it
I was using "advanced" from www.google.com separately (since google from the bottom page does not have it)
OK, I have found that I used before and forgot
But in the case of google, I do not find anything if searching the bodies. But I have doubt that while searching heads I shall find 2002, but I shall try

I got these 15 links when I searched 'Vanin 2002' using the Google search at the bottom of the page.

Can you give me a hint abt javaranch's search, "above". I like its last 10, 20, 30 days options. THOUGH I cannot find how to search all forums, it is searching only one?!

Searching all the forums puts too much of a strain on the server so we have it limited to only searching one forum at a time.

Yes, it is true. You can only search one forum at a time.

and it gave 7 results while I have only started threads more than that.

Unfortunately, Google doesn't index (find) every thread that is started here at JavaRanch. That is one of the disadvantages of using Google.
