Well I passed the SCWCD with a score of 71%. I have no experience in creating Servlets and JSP, but read a lot, and memorized a lot experience would have gotten me a good score.
But hey I passed, I am very happy with that.
I am not sure what is next. I wanted to to the Architect exam, but I am a little tired of studying. I might try the UML test cause I want to learn UML

Excellent achievement seems you have done no servlet or JSP programming.
I was thinking about doing the SCWCD exam soon.
I have done quite a bit of servlet programming and a bit of JSP.
How hard was it?
Was a lot of the questions about JSP tags?
I was thinking about buying some questions from Sun as practise.

Hi Mark!
Congratulation! You got good mark. Way above than passing mark. I hate that exam, lot of memorizing. By the way, what is UML? Where do we use it? Certification is now never ending process, right! Keep it up.

Congrats Mark!
Another certification uder your belt, great job! Much success and give architect a try, I have already started and it is a certification which takes much work but reaps many rewards. Once again, congrats

Steve - It was pretty easy, adn with your experience you should have no probelm. I would suggest trying everything out that is in the Objectives, I think that would have helped very much. There is 50/50 Servlets/JSP and Custom Tags, I was surprised at how many questions I got on using Javabeans in it. Oh, and don't buy Sun's questions, well It might be good to see their style of questions, but on the SCWCD forum here there are some great links to Mock exams and two commercial products.
UML is Unified Modelling Language, it uses Class Diagrams, Sequence diagrams to display architecture and such. I believe that your assignment for the Architect exam is using UML. I read Fowlers book already and ORielly's book.
I am going to take a little break on certs for a month or two.
Thanks for all your suupport everyone

Not sure, but I think about the time it takes to do the SCWCD and SCJD together.
It might take about 6 months or so, that's why I am waiting. Need to spend a little time with the wife, instead of studying

Good on you, Mark. No wonder you feel like a breather. (Would be nice if there was a project option for the web component cert - all that book learnin')
