How do we test on a Solaris system if we don't have access to one?!
Are there any anonymous logins allowed on some systems that give us access to Java. Probably not...
Will X-Windows for Linux be the same?

Hi Wansin,
If you want to go to the trouble (and you have a machine you can put it on) Sun is giving away the binaries of Solaris for non-commercial use. Here's the link:

It's a sizeable download and you'll need a CD Burner to copy the iso onto a CD.
I worked with Solaris (2.x) and X Window for about five years, and since X is a specific protocol meant to run on any platform (kinda like start once, display everywhere then your going to get similar results results regardless of the underlying hardware. Be warned though, that X can be flakey and your GUI may have subtle differnces on different implementations. That was one of the big problems with X and AWT. Swing has fixed most of those problems though.
