It means that American airlines is selling for 3/4 on the dollar on the Dow Jones Stock Market. It could be some encryption. It looks like it is to demark the end of the column names and the start of the data. I wouldn't worry about it. Mark
As mentioned by Mark, it is the seperator between meta data and real data. This value is equal to "private static final int MAGIC = 0xC0C0BABE;" defined in the Data class.
