Location of DataBase

Hi!
In my instructions, I have
�the program must allow the user to specify the location of the database, and it must also accept an indication that a local database is to be used, in which case, the networking must be bypassed entirely.�
In case of Local mode, client must have option to provide location database (db.db) path.
I want to confirm that this not the case in n/w mode. In n/w mode server will decide the location of database.

Well, yes the server will decide the location. But if the user that starts the server must tell the server where the db.db file resides.
