Hello all!
Well, I completed my SCJP certification a couple months ago and now I'm starting to look into going after my developer certification, as well. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure where to start. I've been to Sun's site and taken a look at what they have to say about the exam, so I understand the format - create an application and then answer some essay questions based on design decisions. However, are there any good study guides or a list of technologies that we should know coming into this exam (something like an objectives list)? Also, what is your general conception of this certification? Is it good? Bad? Especially difficult? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Corey

I learnt a lot by doing the developer certification assignment in the following areas:
- Multithreading
- RMI
It is a very good opportunity to learn Swing, OO design including patterns. I have to admit that it is taking a great effort for me to try all the design options and make sure I do everything with in the scope of the assignment.
Pay the buck and come on board...
