Hey guys. Since we seem to be having more and more of you becoming SCJD certified, and all the other certifications seem to be getting more people certified, we at JavaRanch have decided to use the Certification Results forum as the forum for all results to be posted. We should post our results there, so that this forum, which is used for questions regarding the assignment and essay exam will not be cluttered. Not that it is really cluttered in this forum. But to keep with the great community feeling we all have at Javaranch, posting in a forum like Certification Results lets us get congratulated by the everyone at JavaRanch. Just make sure you use a topic/subject that states the certification that you are passing. like new SCJD 155/155. Ok Sai you can use that subject line. Mark
Sai don't be so cocky, Sun hasn't totally turned around, I am in my 3rd week of waiting. And I know that Sun recieved both my essay exam as well as my submission just fine because I contacted them, they are just dragging their feet like they used to

hmmmm...I thought Prometric and Sun are getting along better lately. Alright..I can wait for 4 weeks. Thanks for the info.

I think it is a crock, I have contacted Sun a couple of times and filed a complaint because I kept seeing people that submitted everything after me and got results back so quickly. This was after I knew that both my Prometric exam and submission jar were received and matched up. They state that exams are graded first come first serve, and if you can grade a test and get results back in 3 days (the quickest I have seen on the forumn), whether the exam is pass or fail, it should not take 4 weeks. Monica Green would only say that she could not do anything until I have waited 4 weeks, which really ticked me off.

I can understand the reasons for the decision. However, many of the "Passed ..." threads in this forum were very useful as people discussed their design decisions. Now we will have to fish for the *developer* certification threads among all the threads in the Certification Results. Eugene Kononov.
It would be nice to be able to split up the results forum, or at least require descriptive subject lines. No reason to click on 30 SCJP results posts before finding a SCJD one. Know what I mean? -- jason

Yep, i know what you mean, that's why we need to use a subject line that states SCJD. Also if you notice the only posts from SCJD have 151/155 grades instead of percentages. Eugene, I also see your point, and agree. So maybe we can post the score in Certification Results, and then post a new thread here titled something that say Hey I passed do you have any questions for me. What do you think? Mark Mark

Sounds fine to me, although I saw nothing wrong with "Passed 150/155" in the subject and the design decisions/hints/ideas in the body. I guess the intent of the "Certification Results" forum is to filter out the "Passed, very happy, see you next year" types of posts from the regular discussions. I guess those posts could be moved to "Certification Results" by the moderator, but let the other, more useful/meaningful posts stay. Just my opinion, Eugene.
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
