Hi all,
how is the user given a choice to make a remote a local connection - Is this by GUI or Command line ??

This is completely up to you, either way is perfectly acceptable.

I pass a command line argument "local" or "remote" for the user to make a local or remote connection respectively but setting this up in GUI would be a better feature.

In mine I pass an IP address for remote, and nothing for local. That is the only arguments I had.
