Hi Team I am facing a strange problem on Linux Red Hat. My client GUI works perfectly fine on Windows and Solaris. However if i run it on Linux, though it runs but it also throws the following error on the prompt: Font specified in font.properties not found Strage thing is that i have not set any font in the GUI. I am using the default implementation of Swings. Any solution for this ??? Amit
I had the same problem with Mandrake 8.1. I didn't really investigate, since my development platform was Windows 2000 Pro; I was just checking to see if everything worked on different platforms. I think the problem has to do with X Window and not swing. It's been a few years since I worked with X, but I think you'll have to physically install those fonts, otherwise X is just going to give you a system monospace font. Hope this is helpful, Michael Morris SCJD2
