Just a quick question on requirements. I am looking at a "Java 2 Certification Guide" and it says I need to write a data conversion tool to convert the ascii db file to a binary file.(Or else the assignment will fail!) It mentions nothing of this in the submission requirements. There is no need to write this tool as I can get the data from the ascii file. Am I correct in assuming the book is out of date, and that I don't need to do this?

Yep. That was the old assignment. Now you are provided with a binary db.db file, so there is no need to write a converter. Hope this helps, Michael Morris
