What are you talking about. Do you think they should make is a Web Based JSP/Servlet/EJB with Oracle backend Database assignment.
Well I don't know a lot of people who have Oracle at home, and the basis of this certification is using the Java SDK with RMI/Swing and other classes that comes with the SDK, not some specialized Web or other type certification.
If you find it boring, turn it back in and let someone else who wants to do it a chance.

I think that would be a good start Mark. I've just completed the SCJD2 and I don't see what there is to be gained from trawling out what is essentially the same old project, but calling it SCJD 1.4. They are having a laugh as far as I'm concerned.

The new SJCD is just for the new SDK of Java 1.4, not because it is supposed to be in other areas.
I actually find this a little harder because they don't provide for you the Data classes.
The purpose of the certification has and always will be the same.
Using JSP/Servlets/EJB, is not a start, it is a different certification.
I think they should changed the SCWCD cert to be an assignment which would cover those ares, not the SCJD.
