Hi
I have two questions pertaining to java.policy file.
1) is the java.policy file needed for local mode also ( apart from network mode ). I find that I am not able to access the database if I am not using the policy file.
2) I am using the following java.policy file:
I want to avoid hardcoding the database path, Is there a way ?
Can I also use the following java.policy file instead of one above.

Thanks
Ravi

You don't need it for either local or remote mode. Here are some other things that you don't need.
