Just a quick note of thanks to everyone here for their participation. I'll be relinquishing my half of the bar to a new recruit soon and will be going into semi-retirement in the Process forum. The new bartender comes very highly recommended and I'm sure he (or she, just to keep y'all guessing) will do as good a job as I did (TPFIC), if not better at moderating this wonderful forum. The official announcement will probably be made in the JavaRanch forum so keep an eye out for it. Thanks again! Junilu TPFIC - Tongue planted firmly in cheek
I thought you hand-picked him/her. So, you just picked him/her off the street? Well, I hope the guys who actually deserve the job will forgive us. Maybe next time around guys. (You know who you are...) Seriously though, I hope nobody feels unappreciated if they didn't get hit up for the job. There are a lot of regulars here who can easily fill the spot and we do appreciate your contributions.

Mark picked up Nancy?...oh wow, is his wife going to be pissed... Anyway, I just wanted to write and thank Junilu for his kind words, and to kick him in the shins for setting such a high bar. Ditto to Mark. I will, of course, try to do a good job here, and I will, of course, occasionally screw up. Don't say that you weren't warned . You wish -- my bar in this forum is right about shin level .. and I will, of course, occasionally screw up. That's a given. We really should meet up for lunch, you know. Maybe when the weather and my schedule let up a bit. I'm at work right now and it's pouring outside. [ February 22, 2003: Message edited by: Junilu Lacar ]

I'm not far behind you: Currently taking advantage of the wireless web @ Stauff in Grandview to work. Lunch Sounds good. Have you tried the new Japanese place @ Polaris? M, author The Sun Certified Java Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4 [ February 22, 2003: Message edited by: Max Habibi ]
No, I haven't been to Japan House yet. It's just a mile from my house though.
