I have read various discussions on this forum and it seems to me that most people are using a drop down for displaying the origin and destination airports. Are we required to this in this way? It doesn't seem like a very scalable solution to me, I have used text fields instead? If you go this approach to you need to modify the add method to notify your lists to update themselves? Most search applications that I have worked with use text fields?
Thanks
Brian

I never thought that Sun would have a strong opinion about this, but as Frank Sanzone reported, one of the reasons that Sun failed his solution was that he used text boxes (instead of combo boxes) for origin/destination airports.

I used text boxes, and lost most of my points (2 I think, can't remember off the top of my head) on the GUI. Of course I don't have a clue if the textboxes had anything to do with it but it makes sense.
