I apologize if this has been asked a million times
but what is the "average" length of time people
mostly need to complete the developer project, including the test (3 months, 6 months...).
Assume 20 hours are donated per week.
I know this is a broad question but I just wanted
some idea.

Hi Bill,
Welcome to JavaRanch.
This question is asked quite often, and it is very difficult to answer, since people have different experience levels.
I think that people who are reasonably experienced in all the different facets can complete the assignment in around 3 - 4 weeks full time (40 hours / week)
Here's some of the previous times this has been asked, so you can get other opinions:
  • How long should this take full time
  • How long does it take to prepare SCJD in general? (partially in French?)

  • How long does it take to prepare the assignement ?
  • Passed nx:SCJD !
    Regards, Andrew
