Hi All,
Does the SUN ask any question on Design patterns like what design patterns have you used in developing this assignment or similar question like that?
One more thing: do I need to provide menu item to book a record? I provided booking functionality by double clicking on the record to book. Customer ID field, and Book Contractor button will get enabled, facilitating to book the record.
Please advice me.
Regards,
Ganapathy.

Hi Ganapathy
I didn't get any questions on what design patterns I had used.
I did not have a menu item to book a record. But I did have multiple ways of booking (all clearly described in user documentation:
[*]select a record (keyboard or mouse), then click on "book this record" button
[*]double click on record
[*]select a record (keyboard or mouse), then hit enter
Regards, Andrew

Hi Ganapathy
I never got above 10 clients in my testing. Just for the sake of the exercise, I just started 30 clients and connected them all to my database via RMI. No problems. However this was not automated testing: this was 30 full blown clients. I suspect that if I had tried changing my test program to have 30 threads connecting simultaneously I would run into problems. As suggested in that thread you posted, I would have just put some delays into my test code to let the server catch up.

Hi Billy Tsai,
I used text fields to get user input. My assignment is CONTRACTOR.
Requirement does not say, you must use drop boxes.
So why do you feel like you will get failed?

Ganapathy
