Hi everyone, I have a question about the certification history at this website:

Since I've submited my project a month ago, I'm starting to be a bit nervous about it...

When you submit your jar file and pass the essay exam, do you have a trace of that in you history or you have only one entry when you have the final result?
Because I don't have anything other than address changes and the scjp events... I'm starting to think that they don't have my essay exam and/or jar and that they won't do anything until they get both...

Send an email to SunCert@prometric.com and ask if everything arrived. Make sure you give them the relevant information (your testing id, the exam number, where you took it, etc) so they can do the research.

I took the exam two weeks ago today and submitted the assignment the night before. Last Thursday I checked their sight for news (it says they take up to 4 business days to post info) and didn't see anything so I emailed them.

I got a response about an hour later that told me they'd received the jar and exam and they were sent to the assessor on 2004-07-31. It was very comforting to know that everything was going along like it should.

Good luck to you,
Burk

www.certmanager.net/sun is really messed up. It had me listed as passing within 18 hours of me doing the essay exam, a few days later I was listed as both 'enrolled' and 'certified', and now I've really passed it just says 'enrolled'

http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/ seems to work correctly - watch that, and one day your marks will appear. For what it's worth, I did the essay exam on July 12th, got the marks on August 11th...

Hi, I've reveived a response from prometic. They say that my jar file/essay exam was sent to an examiner on august 2. And that I should have my results 2-4 weeks from that date.

He also says that the examiner will put my result on www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment when he has a result. Then, after that, the result will appear on www.certmanager.net/sun.

Did you guys had your result on sun_assignment first, or the other?

And if it is sun_assignment, was your result shown on the test history screen, or you had to click the assignment button at the bottom to see it? I see my scjp score on the test history screen...

The result is on /sun_assignment first - my results still aren't on /sun. Just click Test History, the result (pass/fail) is there, with a "details" button for the detailed marks.

Good luck!

Cool! Thanks, I hope I will have my result soon, but it's summer and everyone has the right to be on vacation, the prometric examiners too!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
