Hi all,

i am working on S&B assignment. I am not sure about a situation.
There is more then one client who is connected with the server. When a client do an update, how to notify other clients about the changes?
Should they notified?
Can you help me to get an apropriet approach. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ataul

hello,

I had B & S 2.3.2. The table in the clients shall only display search results, not reflect the database in realtime. Check this with your assignment.

hello Conan,

the problem is actually that if client A has a search result with record no. 5 and also client B has a search result with record no. 5 and client A books the record. Now client B has the information that this record is not booked, but in the meanwhile it is booked on the server side. client B is working at that time with wrong datas. Is this correct or did I any mistack.

Tanks for answering.

I think this is OK for this application. The user should know that they need to keep updating the table to get the most recent data. If client B would attempt to book this record after client A has done so, an exception should be thrown and the user should be notified with something like "The record has been booked by another client since your last inquiry."
