B&S Db file

Hello all.
This is probably a stupied question, but here goes...
I have recently downloaded the B&S version 2.3 assinment and now I'm a bit puzzled. Must I preserve the db-2x3.db format? Or could I read the file and then create a db'ish file for futher use when the server is started, or if working in a alone mode, read and cache the entire file?

Hallo Kjetil,

there is no stupid question!
I think you should work with the db-file and not copy it. Caching the records is o.k.! But changes of the cache must affect the db-file.
