I want to go for SCJD. Should I register for SCJD 1.4 or wait for SCJD 5?
Is it worthy?

There will be no versioning information specified for SCJD. Thus, you can use any JDK version (required not older than the latest version with 18 months). Some people had already used J2SE Tiger for this assignment. I guess SCJD might be updated, but not due to the version because it is not a concern to SUN as you can always use latest versions for it.

Is it worthy?

In what aspect?

the question is not whether the cert is worthy of you but whether you are worthy of the cert.
That's why you need to pass the examination of your skills before it's granted to you.
