I usually do not receive any response, but still trying ....

Have someone used a class to hold the fields read from data file ? Are you keeping the String[] from DB interface. I'm used to work with J2EE only and it's normal to use a value object like class to hold the structure and after populate with data. Any idea ? Could someone describe de data access class files ?

Tks,

Hi Tony,

Are you keeping the String[] from DB interface.[

Yes, you must implement the DB interface that is provided, if it helps, I would think of the class as being your data layer which returns a simple ResultSet in the form of a String[].

I would recommend that you keep this layer very generic, and not tied to the fields defined in the assignment, think of it like a JDBC interface.

Yes, I've created Data Transfer Objects in my business layer, I retrieve the records using the int[] find(String[] criteria) and String[] read(recNo) and pass the objects to the GUI layer.
