I am just finishing my assignment and reviewing all the requirements.
And i think i becoming a paranoid...
...MUST have been tested and shown to work under a production (not development) version of the Sun Microsystems' Java 2 platform...

How to know if my java version is production version?

this is my version:
java version "1.5.0_06"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode)

the 'b' char bolded means "build" or "beta"?

production version is anything not released by Sun as a beta, preview edition, or an internal edition (for example some IDEs ship with custom compilers).

Your version is fine, the b stands for build.
