I think i am getting paranoid at things. Just recently i saw some threads where people were discussing that we need to use 0xFF to mark a Record Deleted.
In my assignment it states that 0 and 1 are to be used. So i went ahead with that implementation.
just wanted to confirm that hope that 1 does not mean all ones in a Byte.

if it says 0 or 1, use those.
Mine says "2 byte flag. 00 implies valid record, 0x8000 implies deleted record ", so also quite specific.

There are many different versions of the assignment out there, follow yours to the letter whereever something is explicit and explain your choices in detail where it's not.

hmm yes. I think that automatic failure is making me scared to take any decision. I will do that. Thanks again
