Just for your information, my results seem to reflect a new scoring/reporting system (and I'm not sure how I got an official score of 395 based on the 38 out of 40 points in the detail summary - but I'm not complaining!). Apparently the detail summary scores are now divided by 10 (and rounded down)...

Test: Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform (310-027)

Comment: This report shows the total points that could have been awarded in each section, and the actual number of points you were awarded. This is provided to give you per-section feedback on your strengths. The maximum possible score is 155; the minimum to pass is 124. General Considerations (maximum = 10): 9 Documentation (maximum = 7): 7 O-O Design (maximum = 3): 3 GUI (maximum = 4): 3 Locking (maximum = 8): 8 Data store (maximum = 4): 4 Network server (maximum = 4): 4

Congratulations Cindy

The maximum possible score is 155; the minimum to pass is 124.
This part seems to be taken from the Fly-By-Night assignment scoring system, where the score was indeed marked up to 155.

Oh well, as long as you pass!

Regards, Andrew

No, this was URLyBird. It is confusing though -- with apparently 3 different scoring systems referenced:

(1) the score of 395

(2) the minimum/maximum sentence: "The maximum possible score is 155; the minimum to pass is 124."

(3) the actual detail scores, which total a maximum of 40. (All 1/10th of the scores listed in the URLyBird spec, and in other scoring summaries I saw posted on Javaranch).

General Considerations (maximum = 10): 9
Documentation (maximum = 7): 7
O-O Design (maximum = 3): 3
GUI (maximum = 4): 3
Locking (maximum = 8): 8
Data store (maximum = 4): 4
Network server (maximum = 4): 4

But the score of 395 (versus 380 - which I'd assume based on the detailed breakout shown above) implies the scoring is still based on the 400 point system - but somewhere the scores are being divided by 10.
