what is a difference between developers certificate & programmers certificate?

is that like.......developer develops software & programmer programs for that?

No, the SCJD requires you to design, program, test, and document a multiuser GUI client/networked database server application. You are expected to justify the design decisions and implementation decisions you made in addition to consistently following a coding standard.

In other words SCJP gets you about 10% of the way to being a SCJD.
