Ok, here's a silly question...

Did any one do javadoc for the DBMain interface that was supplied by Sun?

not a Silly question. This is a case of two conflicting musts.
1. you MUST create javadoc for all the code that you write
2. you MUST implement the DBMain interface without any modifications

I took the must for the first part and added javadocs for that interface as well
i have added this in my choices.txt so that i do not lose out on that

I did. They mean you don't change the method signatures.

I think it looks more professional if javadoc is added. I won't be changing the method signatures.
