Hello all, I have finally passed the Sun Certified Java Developer exam with a score of 346/400. Here are my score reports on each section : Documentation: 70 61 OOD: 30 30 GUI: 40 12 Locking: 80 80 Data Store: 40 40 Network Server: 40 23 I failed for the first time because I submitted a wrong version (an older version) of the jar submission file. I resubmitted my assignment at 6/Feb/2007 and got my result today. Before going to this exam I had a previous experience in developing Multithreaded applications in C# and In developing Web Based Applications using ASP.NET, ASP and JSP and Servlets. As a preparation material I have studied designed patterns and Object Oriented Analysis and Design. For the design patterns I have studied the extraordinary book "Head First Design Patterns" and for the object oriented design I have studied full object oriented system which is an ATM system available at the following url : http://www.math.gordon.edu/local/courses/cs211/ATMExample/ While working on the Sun Certified Java Developer assignment I also was reading the another wonderful book "Head First Servlets and JSP".Preparing for SCWCD made understand the MVC design pattern very well, which I used in my GUI. Regarding the GUI I was expecting a low grade because I am not a good GUI designer and regarding the Network Server I don't know why I got that grade. And after passing this tough exam, I have to thank Bert Bates, Kathy Sierra, Brayan Basham for their wonderful books on the SCJP, SCWCD, Design Patterns. And i have to confess that reading the Programmer exam book by Bert Bates,Kathy Sierra and Bryan basham was a turning point in my life. I also would to thank all javaranch forum as it was my first resource of help on SCJD issues. Finally, Barry Gaunt I will really miss you a lot. Please let us see you in the SCWCD forum. Thanks to all and good luck for everyone. [ April 05, 2007: Message edited by: Khaled Mahmoud ] [ April 06, 2007: Message edited by: Khaled Mahmoud ]
