General Con: 100 90
Documentation: 70 70
OOD: 30 30
GUI: 40 26
Locking: 80 80
Data Store: 40 40
Network Server: 40 20
Total: 400 356

Thanks to all ranchers for their help, threads in this forun helps me a lot. I use Andrew's book (i learned a lot of concepts ). I hope get some marks but i'm happy to have learned from this certificacion.

General Con: 100 90 - I have no idea
GUI: 40 26 - Maybe i will show my interface to some other people to improve it.
Network Server: 40 20 - I use RMI instead of sockets, first i begin wiht a RMI factory and later i remove this factory, maybe the code was not clear in this change.

In the other topics i get all marks (in my locking mechanism i use reentrant lock and was qualified good).

I read the HFDP and maybe it could me help in implementation of my solution, i will make some changes ... I advice this book and Andrew's book.

Again thanks to all ranchers for their help.

Hi Daniel,

I think i lost some point in my gui because some posts talk about show your gui to some other people to improve it (usability, elements disposition, etc). I didn't do that for some reasons (i now know this would be better) the main is i haven't time. In sun results only talk about score, nothing of reasons for that score. I didn't know if is allowed show my gui for the confidentiality of the exam and the rules of Javaranch , but i can describe this. In the top i put centered the search elements (labels and textfields for name and location) and additionally i put combo boxes to store results of last searches, bellow i put my table and aligned to the rigth i put a textfield to enter the customer id and two buttons, one for book and another to unbook. Maybe distributions was not good or i didn't think in some aspect to improve the usability or looking.

I think, that GUI is not fully marked from the visual point of view. Take into account design of your classed, further extensibility etc. For instance, my submission states:

"Your user interface should be designed with the expectations of future functionality enhancements...."

Hello All,

I'm new to JavaRanch, and I wish to take the SCJD cert. How do I make good use of the Ranch, where do I start? I have Deitel and Deital's "Learning Java." What book are you referring to Gabriel...Andrew's Book?

Thanks so much. And I wish everyone well.
