Presumably deleteRecord must free up any lock i.e. there is no concept of a locked deleted record sounds like a no brainer but if there automatic tool says .. no then explaining your choice in choices.txt won't help ;-)

i.e. no need to ...

lockRecord
deleteRecord
unlockRecord // unecessary ?? / should fail with no such record

Or perhaps you can check if the client holds the lock and allow unlocking it.

After all, if the client got the lock in the first place, then it means it was not deleted. So unlocking should be allowed.
