Hi:
I am using JDK 1.6 Update 4 to develop my assignment.
I just wonder if this is a Java 2 Platform Production or just a Development.

JDK 1.5 is part of Java 2 SE 5.0.
JDK 1.6 is part of Java SE 6.

Even though the '2' is excluded in the formal name of Java SE 6, JDK 1.6 can still be used for the project.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
