Dear all the SCJD candidate and SCJD holder,

I'm working on URLyBird assignment and I have a little problem.

The interface provided to me uses record number to read, update, delete, lock, and unlock record. But there isn't record number field in the reservation records.

Do I have to make assumption for this issue?

I assume that the record number is the order of the reservations that appear in data section in the file. It means the record number 1 is the first record in data section.

Do you have another suggestions?

thanks!!

This is the common (and may be the only one) assumtion about record no. of all SCJD candidates.

Good luck.

Do you put the 2 byte flag as a member of Hotel Object? I separate that 2 byte from the Hotel object, so the Hotel object only contains the database schema

Thanks

Hi Jeffry,

I dont know your 2-byte because my assignment is B&S. But no matter the assignment is, I suggest 2 things:
- Object should contains only what belong to it.
- Object does not need to exactly match the flat file.

Wish you lucky
