Hi all,

I am new to scjd.
does it contain only core java? does it contains jsp, servlet topics?
I want to know detail syllabus of scjd exam.
I have read the syllabus from http://www.sun.com/training/catalog/courses/CX-310-252A.xml
but it is written in this link that
The following APIs and facilities may not be used:

* Enterprise JavaBeans
* Servlets, JSP technology, or any other web-oriented APIs
* NIO, the New IO facilities
* Java DataBase Connectivity (JDBC) and SQL
* Java IDL API and CORBA
* Third party software libraries or tools (such as browsers)

what does mean it may not be used?
I do not clear the exact syllabus of scjd exam.
can anybody help me regarding this?

"SBhopatkar",

Please check your private messages for an important administrative matter.

what does mean it may not be used?

It means that you cannot use any of those technologies in your solution.

This, then answers your earlier question on whether it contains jsp or servlets - since these are both in the list of forbidden technologies you are not allowed to use them.
