I'm reading the new printing of "The Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide". It seems flawless so far - I've finished chapter two. I've also picked up a few details along the way. Just studying for the test is worthwhile. The tests at the end of each chapter can be rather humbling. A developer I know thinks he's a decent Java programmer and he tried the first five questions. After getting only one right, he gave up.
I've not heard of this one. Does it cover all the certification stages (Programmer, Developer, Architect)? I got my SCJP a year or two ago and have been meaning to get SCJD for a while. Would this book help, do you think?
The book covers SCJP and SCJD. The cover claims "Co-Written by the Lead author of the Programmer and Developer Exams" Authors are Roberts, Heller and Ernest. I've finished chapter 4 and have picked up a few suprising tidbits. When I take the tests at the end of each chapter, I'm stunned when I get one wrong. It's amazing how much detail you need to know.

OK, sounds useful. Do you have the details (ISBN, publisher, that sort of thing)
Another study option to look at is JCertify. It's an interactive training solution and exam simulator for the Certified Java Programmer Exam. For more information, visit: http://www.axtive.com/jcertify
