Is the exam at http://www.jaworski.com/java/certification/ an accurate representation of the SCJP test? I'm flunking this test in a big way.

Now Paul, since you passed the exam with 97%, you can answer this question

I cannot remember. I would have to pour through that test again.
I do remember that some of the questions on the test were almost identical to some of the questions on some mock exams. So it *is* important to hit all of the mock exams.

Don't know about the mock exams, but I bought his Java certification book. I found so many errors in the first few chapters (including the review questions) that I returned it.

I just went through the Jaworski exam myself and also found it very hard. Can anyone shed any more light on how representative this test is of the real exam?

I'm at Jaworski's Test Question 122 now, and it seems the test could last forever.
It's noon, I'm hungry, but I'd like to finish this test!
Does anyone know how many questions this test has?

Jaworski's test has 172 questions.
The funny thing is when you finally make it till the end after 5 hours or so, they politely mention that if you wish you can click on the RESTART Button!

What does it say at the end of the test for 77%? At 87% it says something like "you probably scored enough to pass, but you should really get 90% on this".

What I think is we should give some rest for our mind. (i.e) Max we can handle 50-60 qstns. After that our concerntration is not that good. Maximum we sit at one place and do the test for 1 and a hlf or 2 hours. Also we can have some good breaks bet 2 consequence tests. Sometimes we can use the MOck Exams as a 'learning tool' rather than a test. But we try not to repeat the same mistake again. If you repeat the same mistake means either we do not concentrate / careless / didn't understand the concept well. At the end of any mock exam we shold ask ourself did we learn anything new or not. Sometimes we may get good score just because we are tested on the SAME concept which we already know. So we may have to mix the mock exams well and take them. For example instead of taking Marcus 1 ,2, 3 together, we may take 1 od marcus and another of some other like that. ANd also we need not take every time 60 qstns. We can just take 15 or 20 like that. But we should set up our mind before taking sample mock exams. Whether we treat it as a real test or as a learning tool. If we are serious about the % of the sample test, then DO NOT refer anything in between. Sometimes the mock exams qstns/ans itself wrong. So if you think there are going to be lot of wrong qstns/ans we just use as a learning tool and first give a try ourself and immediately verify the author's answe with some good ref either JDK/JLS. And also every time we take a test we make a benchmark of all the test results with some comments. May be like this
Sno. - Date - Time - ExamName - totqstns - correct - %got - timetooktoFinish -anycomments-areaneedtoConcentrate
As we take the tests we make an entry in this file so that we know our past/present/future and we know where we stand right now. This info may also give us a clue of which test to shuffle and take next. Ok. I stop here.
