I took (and passed) the exam yesterday and was frustrated by my testing centers equipment. The computer monitor on which I tested was a small 15 (probably measured 13 or 14 actual). And the refresh rate was horrendous. My eyes were exhausted by the time I got to the 30th question. In addition the mouse cord was stuck (or tied) behind the workstation, causing me to awkwardly reach to move the mouse.
In hindsight I wish I had done two things differently. First, since I live in a city with many testing centers, I wish I had made an attempt to learn which centers had the best equipment (specifically BIG monitors). Second, I should have paid closer attention to my mouse situation before I started the clock, and appropriately complained until the mouse was in an ergonomically acceptable position.

Owen,
I also took the test yesterday and noticed the same thing (flicker). (BTW, in another post here I have my story.)
After hearing other "Testing Center horror stories", I was grateful that the monitor was 15 inch and not 14!
The cubicle was exceedingly small also. The mouse was not tied down but I ended up using the blank sheets of paper as a mouse pad! The pad that they had didn't have a good drag.
I was lucky that there were no other persons taking other tests and I had the small room to myself! It would have felt crowded with just one more person in the room!
I wonder if one can visit the testing centers ahead of time and see for oneself. The place I visited was friendly and I bet anything that they would have allowed a previous "inspection".
