Hi guys,
I cleared with 88% today !!.
I had studied for the exam for about 30 days and i feel
that it is quite enough.
I had given all the free mock exams on the net and was
getting about 90 % marks there also.
when my exam started i was quite nervous though, but
thanks to the generous help offered by u guys out there
i thought i can also crack the test.
Of the first 20 questions that i got, i had already
marked 11 as doubtful, and that thought really made me
nervous as what would the other questions be ?
but then i got decent questions and could solve correctly.
Overall the exam really checks ur concepts inside out.
I had about 5 really ambiguous questions as all 3 options were correct and that i had to choose only one.
maybe thats where i made some mistakes.
i got 52 correct out of 59.
I finished the test in an hour and then spent time checking again.
I got the mediatracker qstn also and a io one which asks
u to read ascii.
So the bottomline is::
I think that one month is enough for preparation for the test & some good books like ::
The complete certification guide by RHE,
Java 2 Exam cram by bill brogden are more than
enough
I had also read Heather MacKenzie's notes, Marcus green's and also Jyothi krishnan's notes all of them are excellent.
And last but not the least, thank u all from JAVARANCH for helping me.
By the way i am a 22 yr old Mechanical Engineer staying in Bombay, India. So any guys around here, if need any help can mail me at sushi7777@hotmail.com and can help u out.

Hi sushant,
Congrats for a great score!
Keep up the good work!
I planned to give the exam yesterday but I got nervous and the last-minute jitters because I felt I was still not well prepared so I postponed my exam to next week. Java ranch is a great site and I am getting a lot of tips here. Because I didn't perform well in my mock tests I decided I needed more preparation.Could you email Heather MacKenzie's notes, Jyothi krishnan's notes to me too? I KNOW the list is getting longer and longer and that you will get fed up of emailing notes to everyone but we do feel gratitude for you fellows who help us , you know .
After all now that you have passed you will feel more benevolent towards us, I hope.
