I've read through some postings and people who have passed tend to quote being tested on IO topics. I'm under the impression that IO is not in the objectives (?). What kind of IO was tested?? Was it topics like StreamBuffers, File class etc? If so, can anyone point me to the section of the objectives/syllabus that states that this will be tested. Thanks

Hi Richard, IO was certainly not mentioned as one of the exam objectives when I took scjp2 and I did get 3 questions on IO. SUN has updated the exam objectives since then and IO is now officially included in the set of objectives for scjp2 . Please check out the link below for the details. http://suned.sun.com/USA/certification/progobj.html#Java2 Hope this helps !! Regards, Milind

Thanks Milind. Strangely enough, the UK and USA objectives are different. The UK equivalent does not include the java.io package. I've just fired off an email to the registrar here in the UK so I'll be able to see if it is genuinely different or just an oversight!
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
