Hi Guys,
Can anyone with good experience with mock exams give us ratings on how you feel about the exam and how useful it is. Some of them seems to be not that good at all.
My experience so far...
1. Javaranch 'Rules Roundup' game
2. Jawroski mock exams
3. gEs sample questions
4. Heller and Robers (comes with book)
5. Bill Brogden (comes with book)
have been good in that order. If you just want to do limited tests what are few (5) sites on the web?
Can anyone please respond??

The ones by Marcus Green are very good, and similar to the exam's difficulty, although the first one has some applet questions that aren't relevant anymore. Also, Sun doesn't have as good a sense of humor. There's also one by John Hunt with some outdated questions (like the first question for example) but which is similar to the real thing.
I think the more difficult mocks are some of the best learning experiences you can have. Try the ones by Applied Reasoning, Khalid, and the Brogden "hardest questions" applet. For links to these check here.

My Friend,
All mock exams are good. The more you do closer you will get to perfection. IMO you should take every mock test that is available to you- it is worth the effort even if ONE question makes you think. In fact you should hunt for more and let others know if you find anything new

Hi Ajith,
I totally agree with you.It is well understood that in the real world SCJP certificate may not take you to far as most of the employers are looking for people with good overall knowledge of Java. SCJP may open many doors but from there one will have to show his mettle and if person prepares with the sole intention of clearing the exam he may to have to struggle a bit in the real world.
Probably, some of these "not so good exams" may give a taste of real world situation. I am not suggesting that person should solve some absurd quizes at the eleventh hour but at the same time he should not restrict himself to only a small number of mock tests.
Regards,
Milind
