Books and exam notes only give conceptual knowledge. Theoretical knowledge becomes very volatile if you don't practice them in real life. Remember the exam consists of a
lot of questions in the form of programs.
Write a LOT of code. If there is something specific you don't understand or some topic confuses you, try to write some code to see how it works. Nothing can help you better than writing programs.
