I pass SCJP for java 2 on 8/26. I want to thank you all to make it happen. Because English is not my native language, to pass it is a tough job to me.
Some questions are quite simple, the others are not so easy. I have 6 simple answer questions (quite easy), 1 gridbag, no MediaTracker and Socket, lots of overloading, overriding questions.
Do write code by yourself and don't try to memorize anything you don't realize, write simple code to make your thought clear. Read API documents often.
Thank you all and JavaRanch again!!!

I prepare my exam for 2 months (part time). I read only one book for the first month and I run every example code on my book. I like to use "JDeveloper" (Oracle product) debug mode to trace codes step by step. Sometimes I get surprised after tracing some code, because it runs in a different way than I expect. But I get clear thought by doing so.
In the second month, I do a lot of mocks, the scores are terrible in the very begining (most are below 60%), but I'll try to find answers by writing codes or read the API documents. Sometimes I check JAVA Source code also.
I spend time to read articles that people discuss in this forum and I find some issues are not mentioned or no examples on my book, so I download data recommanded by people and find anther book to read on certain issues.
Spending a lot of time reading API documents and write codes makes me get a pretty good score. In fact, I felt I would fail last Saturday when I was taking the exam. There were almost 20 questions that I was not sure, but I only missed 4 actually.
Don't try to memorize anything you don't understand. Ask someone else or post your question on this forum.

Hi, Michael,
Thank you for your congrats!!! English is not our native language, I want to remind you that you have to read the questions carefully, especially those "may ....", "must ...", "can only be..." are totally different.
The test fee is big to me, too. So I ask myself to take the test only once. I believe you can do it, even better than me!!! Good lucks!!!
I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
