Karthik, The certification is issued for the exam you pass. SCJP 1.1 is different than SCJP 2. So, if Sun decides to create another SCJP exam for a newer version, it will be an all new exam and your SCJP 2 certificate cannot be applied to the new exam. This means your current SCJP (2?) certificate will still be valid, but only for the version you took the exam for. Ajith

Hi Ajith, New version of Java i.e Java 1.3(which I think will be applicable to SCJP exam from October). Can we still give Java 1.2 exam ? Please tell me. Sanjana

Yes. You can take any and all of the exams administered by Sun Educational Services irrespective of whether it is current or not! Ajith

Thanks Ajith... sanjana
I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
