This week's book giveaway is in the OO, Patterns, UML and Refactoring forum. We're giving away four copies of Refactoring for Software Design Smells: Managing Technical Debt and have Girish Suryanarayana, Ganesh Samarthyam & Tushar Sharma on-line! See this thread for details.
Howdy ? There have been a lot of posts about compile-time resolution of variables and run-time resolution of overridden methods. But I'm still confused. Is there a way to confirm for myself that overridden/hidden/shadowed variables are actually resolved at compile-time ? How can I use something like javap or some 3rd party utility to see what the compiler has done and what is left for java-runtime ? Thanks Sandeep
