I had sent a mail to Sun regarding this. They said there are not contemplating of any syallabus change or objectives till the begining of next month i.e oct. I had also called the UK office and they said that they are not aware of any syllabus change. In case there is any change they will post it well in advance on their website. So, stay loose and try to take the test by end of this month max! All the best to you :-) -sampaths77

yes it is true but no need to worry as this is a minor revision see this and the check the link http://suned.sun.com/USA/certification/java_certification_news.html Sun is doing its annual revision of the Sun Certified Programmer examination. Since this is a minor revision, the certification will remain the Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform and cover the same testing objectives. The new certification questions will be available in early October. In the meantime, you can continue to take the existing exam.
