Hi, guys,
I have just passed the exam with 93%. It's a good scroe for me.
Thank you, Jane, thank you, Ajith, and the great site, javaranch.
I got the voucher nearly a month ago, but i took a mock test and got score of 50%. Since then, I have been visiting the site sometime and read the JLS2. JLS is very formal but its example codes are very good. I think the book "Thinking in Java" by Bruce Eckel is very good book and javaranch is a good site for help beeing familar with the exam questions and clearing ones doubt.
Thanks and Best Wishes!

Hi, Anurag,
I began to prepare for exam nearly a month ago. I did four sets of mocktest during my preparing, three sets of Marcus green and one set of John Hunt, and did about three rounds of RulesRoundup game. Recall my yesterday's exam, about 30% Q's exactly matched, about 40% were similar, 30% were almost new to me. I lost four questions on the three sections: Fundmental, Overloading, and other section perhaps is Modifier. I think i am strong on those parts, but lost on it, perhaps did those questions carelessly. The exam was really familar and not hard, but you have to keep clear thinking, and analysis comprehensively.
No Soccket, no MediaTrack, two GridBagLayout, many Thread and Object lock, 1-2 GC, 3-4 with deepness....
Hope this helpful.

HI, Ying Xing,
About GridBag, I think you have to understand how to setLayout with it and how to add a component with its Constraints instant and then set the same Constraints instant's fields for the successive added components. and so, what the meaning of Constraints' all fields:
public int gridx, gridy, gridwidth, gridheight, fill, anchor, ipadx, ipady;
public double weightx, weighty;
public Insets insets;
That's OK.
About Thread, itz a big issue. The most important is Runnable interface and how to start a thread and which method(case) will pause/stop/block it.
By the way, many about AWTEvent and its subclass, and their Listener interface and signature of event handling methods especially about AcctionListener, MouseListener.
About Mocktest please see : http://www.javaranch.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/004339.html
One more point, you should empty ur brain before taking exam and analysis the q's clearly in ur knowledge because they are not always the exactly same to Mocktest(but i did not do many mocktest).
Good Luck!
Yiqing
