I was wondering what is the Java experience level of people passing the SCJP exam.

Hmmm.. there is no one word answer for your question. It's a mixed bag of people some of them are new to Java, some of them are veterans.
If you really want to know, then you should fish out the 'Passed SCJP...' kind of posts and read through them!! Do you have a cause that is strong enough to warrant such an effort??
