Hi All,
I have minimal knowledge of Java and 8 yrs of programming experience. How much overall time and dedication it will take to crack SCJP2 in your opinion.
Thanks,
Sakthivel.

Hello Friend,
It depends on how much time to dedicate for Java.....I have been preparing since 2 months....but still don't feel confident as I am unable to spend more time due to my work....
Well, good hard work will always yield GREAT RESULTS.....
so buckle up....... get ready....

Guys,
I have a suggestion. In the beginning I used to read randomly with so many books and notes. Later I realised to master one topic at a time. So u divide the entire syllabus into sub topics. Take one topic at a time. say Exceptions. Try to search and get all the resources on Exception topic and read. You will get great amount of resources online. So gather them. Once u feel u hv read enough on this topic then take mock tests and answer all the questions on this topic ONLY. maybe while taking the printouts of the mock tests u can mark with pencil which Q belong to which topic. So answer them. And after clearing all the tests again revise this topic and move to next topic. When u finish next topic answer all Qs on the previous topic u covered and the current one. in this way u will update the old topic and master the new one. hope this helps. Good luck.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
